Briswood Kennels
Since my time with Perry, I have shown client dogs on my own. I have shown dogs in every AKC recognized Group (and the Miscellaneous classes), have won numerous Group firsts and placements, and have won Winners Dog, Winners Bitch, BOS and BOV at Specialties. I have also won BOB at the Eukanuba National Dog Show. Presently, I show dogs with my husband, Shane Hooper (AKC RPH, AKC RPH Handler of the Year 2023), and we attend around 30-35 shows a year. The dogs who travel with us are treated like family, sleep in the rig with us, and receive the utmost attention. It is my privilege to have had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful and beautiful dogs. I still love telling stories about those special dogs that have been gone for years, but leave those lasting imprints! I thank each and every one of the owners who have trusted me with their dogs, and hope I get the honor of showing for each of them in the future.

I started showing dogs in November of 1999, with our 9-12 month old Rottweiler puppy, "Savannah." I had never been in the show ring before and, as they say, "the rest is history!" I was hooked and my mother dedicated much for my pursuit of handling. While I was unable to put all of her points on her, I did put many of "Savannah's" Championship points on her, and she was finished in 2003. It was a rocky start trying to find help in learning how to show properly and all of the rules of the game, but I thank the late Vic Montleone for his tutoring and training. Through Vic, I was able to go from complete novice to a competitive showman. In 2005, I spent a year and a half, and occasionally over the following 8 years, working for Rottweiler and Frenchie handler, Perry Payson. The time with him sharpened my skills, and allowed me to finish numerous dogs, including our own "Paris."
